↓ math & munch
math & munch is a tiny kitchen lab where kids cook, build real number sense (counting, fractions, decimals, percents, ratios) and grow collaboration/SEL skills. We work in tiny teams, explain our “math moves,” and stay present while we learn and share food. In an AI world, we’re doubling down on real people, real numbers, and real food.

I’m Dhivya, a Teach For America, McKinsey, and Google alum with 15+ years teaching over a thousand kids and adults math through foundational understanding (not memorization). I’ve seen how early number sense unlocks higher-order critical thinking and confidence and sets students up for durable math - and I saw how essential that was in my work at McKinsey and Google in strategy, learning and development, and DEI. Now I’m going back to what I love: kids, food, and numbers.

She empathetically works through problems with the people who are struggling, knowing that it actually benefits the entire group. I feel more alive and more challenged in your class than I ever have at work.”
